Great question, and the answer is going to depend a little bit on who you are.
For instance:
Old Friends - You're going to get a chance to catch up, see what I'm doing/what I'm working on, and how it's going.
For new friends - you're going to get to see my entrepreneurial process in all of it's glory, or lack there of.
For the 'Dan Curious' - You're going to get a wild ride complete with behind the scenes, newsletters, and videos.So how 'bout it?

How much should I send?Great question, as much or as little as you want. Seriously. Pretend we're somewhere, and you're buying me a cup of coffee. If it's the gas station and you've got $0.99 for it, thats good. If we're at Foo Foo's and you're getting me your favorite super sugar deluxe goat creatine oat milke (it's French) latte, and you want to round up a tip for the barista and say it's $10, thats cool too. Or if you want to pretend we're at Costco or Sams and you're getting me a cool 18 pod k-cup sample pack, thats cool too. Treat me right and I send you stickers and catch up with cool stories, it's a win-win.
